JB Pads are designed to sit under the front of the saddle and are a key component of Functional Saddling methods like the BALANCE Saddling System.
They are available in different shapes and thickness in order to help the horse owner to fine tune the balance and comfort of an appropriate saddle, which should always be wider than the horse's current body shape*
*but never so wide that it relies on the JB pad to avoid direct pressure onto the spine.
The pads are designed to be used with other BALANCE Pad products and can be layered and adjusted in their placement to work for any individual horse.
